The House of Mouse taps former Morgan Stanley CEO as its new board chair, who will lead search for Iger's replacement
Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS, ETR:WDP) plans to announce its next CEO replacing Bob Iger in early 2026, the company said on Monday. It also announced the appointment of James Gorman as chairman of the board, effective January 2, 2025.
Walt Disney on Monday named Morgan Stanley veteran James Gorman as chairman and said it would announce a new CEO to replace Bob Iger in early 2026, setting the stage for succession at the storied media and entertainment company.
The company also said Mark Parker resigned as the chairman and named James Gorman as his replacement, effective Jan. 2.
