I am initiating coverage of Salesforce with a Buy rating with a $430 price target, as AI is proving to be a monetization layer rather than a threat. My investment thesis is driven by Agentforce monetization, Data 360, and Informatica adoption, and modest acceleration across Salesforce's much larger application business. The valuation remains attractive despite the recent recovery, with CRM trading at a 0.97x forward non-GAAP PEG, roughly 19% below the sector median.
Salesforce NYSE: CRM said its artificial intelligence product adoption is expanding across its customer base, with management highlighting growing demand for agentic workflows, consumption-based offerings and industry-specific AI applications during its Q2 fiscal 2027 investor webinar.
August was a good month for tech stocks, especially software companies that had slumped earlier in the year.
