E.ON: Solid H1 Results, But Regulatory Uncertainty Still Caps Upside

E.ON: Solid H1 Results, But Regulatory Uncertainty Still Caps Upside

H1 adjusted EBITDA reached €5.4 billion and adjusted EPS €0.74, yet management left 2026 guidance unchanged despite strong first-half deliveries. Cash generation improved, but heavy CAPEX and €1.7 billion of dividends pushed economic net debt higher to €46.7 billion. The Bundesnetzagentur's proposed gas WACC framework introduces downside risk, with a lower beta assumption potentially reducing allowed returns and future network earnings.
