EUR/AMD

EURAMD denotes the exchange rate between the Euro and the Armenian Dram, showing how many drams are needed to purchase one euro. It tracks the relative value of the Euro (base currency) when quoted against the Dram (quote currency) in foreign exchange transactions.

The euro (EUR) is the official currency of the Eurozone, used across multiple European Union member states and wider euro-area economies. It is issued and managed by the European Central Bank (ECB), which sets monetary policy for the currency bloc and oversees currency stability and liquidity.

The Armenian dram (AMD) is the national currency of the Republic of Armenia and circulates across the country for domestic payments and pricing. The Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia is responsible for issuing the dram, implementing monetary policy, and supervising Armenia’s banking sector.

Movements in the EURAMD rate result from supply and demand in FX markets and are influenced by interest rate differentials, inflation expectations, central bank policy decisions, external trade flows, and geopolitical developments. Capital flows, remittances and commodity price shifts can also affect the pair.

EURAMD is relevant for importers, exporters, investors and currency traders with exposure to Armenia or the Eurozone, serving as a tool for hedging currency risk and for speculative positions on relative economic outlooks.
