EUR/MKD

EURMKD denotes the exchange rate between the Euro and the Macedonian Denar, indicating how many MKD are required to purchase one EUR. It tracks the relative value of the euro when priced in denars and is quoted in the common base/quote format used in FX markets.

The euro (EUR) is the official currency of the euro area, used by 20+ European Union member states and several territories. It is a major global reserve currency and is issued and managed by the European Central Bank, which sets monetary policy for the eurozone.

The Macedonian denar (MKD) is the national currency of North Macedonia, serving as the unit of account and medium of exchange within the country. Issuance and monetary regulation for the denar are conducted by the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, which oversees domestic financial stability.

EURMKD is driven by market supply and demand as well as macroeconomic differentials: interest rate expectations, inflation trends, central bank policy decisions, and broader geopolitical developments all influence the pair.
