Luk Fook: Harvesting My Losses (Rating Downgrade)
December is tax-loss harvesting season but also a time to reflect on which stocks are down due to swings in sentiment versus genuine mistakes in my thesis. Luk Fook's 50% profit drop, partly due to hedging, highlights the need for caution with companies that hedge risks I can better hedge myself externally. Luk Fook's dividend cut violates my rule of favoring stocks with increasing dividends, reinforcing my decision to sell and focus on better opportunities.
