TriMas NASDAQ: TRS reported higher second-quarter earnings and expanded operating margins as cost-reduction actions and operational initiatives offset a largely flat organic sales environment. The company also raised the lower end of its full-year adjusted earnings-per-share outlook, citing first-half performance, cost savings and stronger-than-expected interest income.
TriMas (TRS) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.52 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.49 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.61 per share a year ago.
