Launched on November 1, 2006, the Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight Consumer Staples ETF (RSPS) is a passively managed exchange traded fund designed to provide a broad exposure to the Consumer Staples - Broad segment of the equity market.
The beverage industry is significantly undervalued versus historical averages, while tobacco and retail are overvalued. RSPS offers consumer staples exposure with better value and less company-specific risk than XLP, but also lower risk-adjusted returns and trading volumes.
