The chief executive of generic drugmaker Sandoz said a proposal by the CEOs of Novartis and Sanofi to introduce a Europe-wide list price for new medicines is "deeply flawed" and would not solve global pricing inequities.
Upgraded Sandoz from "hold" to "buy on dips" due to strong cash flow, promising growth in generics, and mid-term EBITDA margin guidance of 24-26% by 2028. Sandoz's 2024 revenue grew 4%, with a core EBITDA margin of 20.1%, generating $622M in free cash flow, or $1.45/share. Anticipated 2025 core EBITDA margin of 21% and projected 2028 EPS of $3.37, with a potential current value of 41 CHF/share.
Emasan AG, an arm of the Sandoz Family Foundation, has launched a public offering of some 26.5 million shares in Swiss pharmaceutical firm Novartis to raise up to $3 billion in an accelerated bookbuilt offering, according to the bookrunner.
