Overview

The Sub-Fund operates with a multi-factor strategy aimed at generating positive returns over the long term. This strategy is executed through investments primarily in Developed Markets' equity securities or equity-equivalent securities, such as ADRs (American Depositary Receipts) and GDRs (Global Depositary Receipts), which constitute at least two-thirds of its total net assets. With a focus on maintaining a diversified investment portfolio, the Sub-Fund allocates up to one-third of its total net assets to Developed Markets convertible securities and warrants on transferable securities. While the emphasis is on equity and equity-equivalent securities, the Sub-Fund retains the flexibility to invest a limited portion of its assets in a broad range of other transferable securities eligible as per Part A of the Prospectus, along with liquid assets, short-term money market instruments, and fixed income transferable securities.

• Equity and Equity-Equivalent Securities

  Investments primarily focus on equity securities and equivalents, such as ADRs and GDRs, in Developed Markets. These instruments provide the foundation for the Sub-Fund's investment strategy, aiming for long-term positive returns through diversified exposures in developed economy markets.

• Convertible Securities and Warrants

  Up to one-third of the Sub-Fund's total net assets may be devoted to convertible securities and warrants on transferable securities in Developed Markets. This allows for potential capital appreciation through investments that offer the benefits of equity participation with the added features and rights embedded in these instruments.

• Other Transferable Securities

  The Sub-Fund has the capability to invest in a range of other transferable securities that do not fall strictly within its primary focus of equity and equivalents or convertible securities and warrants. These investments, while limited, are selected based on their eligibility as defined in Part A of the Prospectus, providing additional avenues for diversification and return.

• Liquid Assets and Money Market Instruments

  A portion of the Sub-Fund’s assets may be allocated to liquid assets and money market instruments with a residual term of up to 12 months. This component of the portfolio serves as a tool for managing liquidity and short-term exposures, complementing the fund's investment strategy with a level of security and income.

• Fixed Income Transferable Securities

  The Sub-Fund also includes fixed income transferable securities within its investment universe. These securities offer regular income and a different risk-return profile compared to equity investments, contributing to the overall risk management and diversification of the portfolio.
