THB/EUR

THBEUR denotes the exchange rate quoting the Thai baht against the euro; it expresses how much one unit of Thailand’s currency is worth in euros and is used to convert values between the two currencies in foreign exchange markets.

The Thai baht (THB) is the official currency of the Kingdom of Thailand, used across its domestic economy for trade, tourism and financial transactions. Banknotes and coins are issued and regulated by the Bank of Thailand, which conducts monetary policy and may intervene in currency markets to achieve macroeconomic objectives.

The euro (EUR) is the single currency of the Eurozone, circulating in the member states of the European Union that have adopted it for daily payments and official settlement. The European Central Bank manages the euro’s monetary policy, oversees liquidity provision and sets interest rates for the currency union, making EUR a major global reserve and transaction currency.

Movements in the THBEUR rate arise from supply and demand in FX markets and reflect differences in interest rates, inflation expectations, current-account and capital flows, and central bank policy decisions. Geopolitical events, risk sentiment and market positioning also play material roles in short- and long-term price variation.
