Trecora Resources is a company engaged in the manufacturing and selling of specialty petrochemical products and waxes within the United States. Originally known as Arabian American Development Company, it underwent a name change to Trecora Resources in June 2014. As of June 24, 2022, Trecora Resources transitioned into a private entity, marking a new chapter in its history of serving the petrochemical and specialty waxes markets.

Products and Services

• Specialty Petrochemicals:

  This segment focuses on the production and supply of hydrocarbons and other petroleum-based products, which include isopentane, normal pentane, isohexane, and hexane. These products find extensive use across various industries for purposes such as polyethylene production, packaging, polypropylene manufacturing, expandable polystyrene creation, poly-iso/urethane foam production, extraction of crude oil from Canadian tar sands, and in the catalyst support industry. Additionally, Trecora Resources is involved in the ownership and operation of natural gas pipelines, further supporting its offerings in the petrochemical sector.

• Specialty Waxes:

  Trecora Resources produces specialty polyethylene and synthetic poly alpha olefin waxes. These specialty waxes are utilized in numerous applications, including paints and inks, adhesives, coatings, PVC lubricants, and as toner additives in printers. Moreover, they serve in the production of candles and offer performance enhancements when used as additives. The company is not only focused on the production of these waxes but also provides custom processing services, catering to specific client needs and facilitating a more personalized approach to service delivery.
