Anthropic has been on a cloud partnership spree in recent months and its latest move is reportedly a $10 billion deal with AI cloud startup Volta.
Anthropic has signed a $10 billion, six-year deal for computing capacity with Volta Infra Holdings, a cloud infrastructure startup backed by Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA, XETRA:NVD), according to media reports citing people familiar with the matter, as the Claude maker moves to secure additional computing resources amid growing demand for its AI products. Volta announced earlier Tuesday that it had secured a six-year, $10 billion agreement with an unnamed artificial intelligence company.
Batteries have been around since 1800, when Alessandro Volta employed zinc and silver discs, among other components, to create a device (the voltaic pile) that generated electrical current. Well over two centuries later, Volta's invention is more important than ever, with battery technology continuing to evolve at a breakneck pace.
Volta Metals Ltd (CSE:VLTA) announced that it has acquired three additional claims in northwestern Ontario, adjoining and near to its Falcon West lithium project. One purchase adds 820 hectares in two claims, one between its Falcon West and Crescent Lake lithium projects and the other alongside Falcon West.
