Members of the Bucks County Democratic Committee dropped by recently in front of the Starbucks on North Main Street. But they weren't ordering coffee. Instead, the group was organizing a protest. Nancy Sherlock, chairwoman of the Morrisville Borough Democratic Committee, had gathered a group to hold signs and make a statement. "We were there protestng against Elon Musk and showing support for Ukraine," Sherlock told Patch recently. The group had come from a county Democratic Party endorsement meeting and decided to make a day of it on Saturday. "It was a day of action," Sherlock said, adding that other party groups were staging protests at other places throughout Bucks County. "We had 55 people there," Sherlock said of the Yardley Borough protest. "We weren't allowed in the street. Police officers were there. The group has been making the rounds, protesting at Bucks County's only Tesla dealership in Warminster Township with another protest planned for next weekend. Local Democrats have been expressing outrage at the federal government workforce cuts made by Musk's DOGE on behalf of President Donald Trump.
