DT Midstream has outperformed peers, driven by gas-focused assets in premier basins and a robust growth project pipeline. Despite strong fundamentals and growth prospects, the current 18.8x EV/EBITDA multiple appears stretched versus peers, making valuation a concern. Dividend coverage is solid, with a recent increase and a commitment to annual raises, but yield lags competitors like KNTK and WES.

J.P. Morgan analyst Jeremy Tonet reduced the price forecast for DT Midstream, Inc. DTM from $115.00 to $109.00 while keeping a Neutral rating.
DT Midstream has shown impressive growth in their business and that has led to solid total returns, outpacing the S&P 500. More recently, though, shares have been on the decline and entered into bear territory with a 23% from its 52-week high. Valuation comparisons with peers like Enbridge and Hess Midstream indicate DTM's valuation isn't stretched, given its strong growth prospects and now that shares have dropped.
The market has grown frustrated with the slower than expected deployment of AI related infrastructure. As a result, DTM's stock has corrected from unsustainable levels. As a result of the sell off, DTM has now returned to its historical valuation based on 2025 growth expectations. I still believe in both the AI and LNG export growth theses, causing DTM's stock to be attractive following the correction.

Citi upgraded DT Midstream to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $115, up from $90. The recently announced $1.2bB acquisition of three Federal Energy Regulatory Commission-regulated pipelines "distinguishes the company and starts DTM on a path to expanding its investor base," the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm says DT's pipeline segment will grow to 70% of the overall business, a premium segment that's contribution is now significantly higher than its natural gas peers. Additionally, the company is now over $10bB in market cap, which should attract attention from a wider investor base, including international investors, contends Citi.
