Why Lucid Motors Stock Popped Monday Morning
Lucid Group Inc (NASDAQ:LCID) shares rose nearly 5% on Monday morning after the luxury electric vehicle maker reported fourth-quarter deliveries that exceeded expectations, driven by price cuts and attractive financing offers. The Saudi-backed automaker delivered 3,099 vehicles in the quarter ended December 31, surpassing analysts' estimates of 2,637, an 11% increase from the previous quarter and a 78% jump from a year earlier.

Lucid Group reported record quarterly vehicle deliveries for the fourth quarter. The electric vehicle manufacturer also reported production of 9,029 units and deliveries of 10,241 cars in 2024.
The electric vehicle (EV) market is set to charge ahead in 2025, with global sales projected to surge by 30%, according to S&P Global Mobility. This momentum is expected to put 15.1 million new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) on the road, marking a sharp rise from the 11.6 million estimated in 2024.
Shares of Lucid Group (LCID 5.28%) are rising sharply today. While the electric vehicle (EV) maker hasn't yet released its own fourth-quarter production and delivery figures, data from its peers is giving investors reason to be optimistic.
Despite the numerous partnerships, promotions, and significant financial backing it received from the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), 2024 was mostly a year of stock market struggles for Lucid Motors (NASDAQ: LCID).
Shares of electric vehicle (EV) maker Lucid Group (LCID -1.33%) jumped as much as 5% today. Those gains began to fade as the trading day progressed, and the stock was actually lower by 1% as of 1:20 p.m.
Voice AI company SoundHound launched a partnership with electric vehicle maker Lucid. The car company released its hands-free voice assistant, Lucid Assistant, powered by SoundHound's artificial intelligence, according to a Thursday (Jan. 2) press release.
Wall Street and investors have little to complain about with just a few days left before we turn the page to 2025. When the closing bell tolled on Dec. 24, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and Nasdaq Composite had respectively galloped higher by 15%, 27%, and 33% for the year.
Shares of Lucid Group, Inc. LCID are rising Thursday but they have run into resistance around the $3.25 level. There is a chance this resistance breaks and the stock keeps moving higher.
