The company operates a focused investment fund designed to track the performance of equity securities in both the foreign and domestic sectors that are directly involved in the development, deployment, or enhancement of the Metaverse. The Metaverse, as envisaged, represents a future evolution of the Internet—a virtual space offering integrated digital experiences encompassing various aspects of social interaction, commerce, and entertainment. To align with its mission, the fund commits at least 80% of its net assets towards investments in entities, known as Metaverse Companies. These are firms whose activities, products, services, or technologies are foundational to or significantly benefit from the Metaverse and its associated revenue streams. The investment portfolio can include, but is not limited to, American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) and Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs), offering a specialized yet non-diversified approach to investment within this emerging sphere. This strategic focus positions the fund to potentially capitalize on the growth and evolution of the Metaverse and its expanding role in digital and physical lives.
Investments are primarily directed towards equity securities of companies that are actively engaging in the Metaverse's development or that contribute technology, products, or services to build its infrastructure. This encompasses a wide range of sectors including, but not limited to, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), digital assets, gaming, and social platforms.
The fund expands its reach by investing in American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), which allows it to hold shares in foreign companies that are participating in the Metaverse arena. This enables diversification beyond domestic markets and facilitates exposure to global innovations and advancements in Metaverse technologies.
Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) are also within the investment spectrum of the fund. SPACs offer a unique avenue for investing in early-stage Metaverse companies before they become public. This investment strategy can potentially capture higher growth dynamics of these enterprises as they evolve and expand within the Metaverse ecosystem.
