Housebuilder Barratt Developments PLC (LSE:BDEV) is expected to finalise its acquisition of competitor Redrow PLC (LSE:RDW) “later this week”, the two companies announced in a joint statement. Barratt Developments PLC's (LSE:BDEV) agreed £2.5 billion acquisition of Redrow PLC (LSE:RDW) has raised competition concerns for the UK antitrust watchdog, though just in one local area. The concerns for the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) are around four Barratt developments in Whitchurch, Shropshire, between Wrexham and Stoke-on-Trent.
