Sony Group Corp (NYSE:SONY) has announced another price increase for the PS5 in Japan, effective September 2. The standard PS5 model with a disc drive will cost approximately $550, while the digital version will be priced at around $500, both seeing a $90 increase.
Sony said its suggested retail price for the PlayStation 5 is 79,980 yen ($553), up 19% from the previous price. The hike will take effect from Sept.
