During regular market hours, stock prices update continuously as buy and sell orders are matched on the exchange. For real-time quote services, updates occur with each trade. Quotes may vary slightly between exchanges due to currency conversion, trading hours, or local demand. For example, a stock traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE) may have different price levels based on regional factors. Most online platforms consolidate this information, but it's important to confirm you're viewing the quote for the correct exchange when analyzing price data.
